Utility trenching, Teton Valley
Water, sewer, power and conduit runs, dug deep enough for our winters, bedded right and backfilled flat.

Utility trenches are easy to get wrong in a cold valley. A water line that's a foot too shallow freezes in January. Conduit that isn't bedded gets crushed by rock when the trench settles. A trench that's backfilled loose leaves a sunken scar across the yard by spring.
Deep enough for the frost
We trench to the depth the utility, the inspector and the frost require, keep the bottom clean and on grade, and bed the line in sand or fine material so rock never sits against the pipe.
Locates on every job
Idaho law requires a Dig Line locate before excavation, and we call it in on every job. On existing properties we also ask about private lines that a public locate won't find, like a well line or a shop feed.
Backfill you won't notice
We backfill in lifts and compact as we go, then finish the surface so it matches the ground around it.

Questions we get
Question 1How deep do water lines need to be here?
Deep enough to stay below frost, which runs deep in Teton Valley. Your utility provider and inspector set the exact depth, and we dig to it.
Question 2Do you call in locates?
Yes. Idaho requires a Dig Line locate before excavation, and we call it in on every job.
Question 3How do you price trenching?
By the run: length, depth, rock and access. We walk it and give you a written number.
