Gravel driveway repair
Potholes, washboard and mud season ruts fixed at the cause: the crown, the ditches and the base underneath.

Almost every failing gravel driveway in the valley has the same problem: water. When the surface goes flat, water sits instead of shedding, the base softens, and every vehicle pushes it into potholes and ruts. Adding a load of gravel on top looks good for a month.
Fix the shape, then the surface
We cut the surface back, reshape a crown so water runs to the edges, open or recut the ditches, and clear or add culverts where water crosses. Then new gravel goes on and gets compacted, so the drive holds its shape.
Mud season and snow
Spring breakup is hard on gravel here. A drive with a good crown and working ditches comes out of mud season in far better shape, and it plows cleaner all winter.
Long lanes and shared roads
We work on long private roads and lanes shared by several owners, and we can price a lane in sections if neighbors want to split it.

Questions we get
Question 1Why does my driveway keep getting potholes?
Usually water. A flat surface or blocked ditches keep water on the drive, and the base softens. Fixing the crown and drainage stops it.
Question 2Do you bring the gravel?
Yes. We can supply, spread and compact new gravel as part of the job.
Question 3When is the best time to fix a driveway?
After mud season dries out, through fall. We'll tell you what's realistic for your drive.
