Foundations and building pads

A good foundation dig starts with a benchmark and ends with compacted, well-drained ground at the right elevation. We cut to grade, over-excavate where the soil is poor, bring in structural fill when it is needed, and compact in lifts so your footings sit on something that will not settle unevenly. If your lot slopes — and most Teton Valley lots do — we build the pad so surface water sheds away from the structure instead of pooling against it.

Septic, water, and utility trenching

We install and repair septic systems and drain fields, and we trench for water, sewer, power, and communication lines. Depth and bedding matter here: shallow water lines freeze, and un-bedded conduit gets crushed. We trench to the depth the job and the frost require, bed the line properly, and backfill so you are not left with a settling scar across the yard next spring. Idaho requires a Dig Line locate before excavation, and we call it in on every job.

Drainage and problem ground

A lot of the calls we get are not new builds at all — they are standing water in the wrong place, a spring that surfaces every June, or a crawl space that never dries out. We dig french drains, cut swales, install culverts, and reshape ground so runoff goes where you want it. When a project turns up rock, an old buried tank, or a spring nobody knew about, you hear about it before we keep digging, not after.

How pricing works

Every dig is different, so we do not post a flat rate. Cost depends on access, soil, how much rock we hit, and how far material has to travel. We walk the property, mark the scope with you on site, and give you a written number and a start window. If the ground surprises us mid-job, we stop and talk before the meter keeps running.
